Subaru WRX 2002-2007, Front & Rear
Techna Fit stainless steel braided brake lines are made using Teflon hose. The Teflon hose has an extruded Teflon core, with an outer stainless steel braided wire covering. The Chrome or Zine plated steel fittings are then permanently crimped on each side.
OEM rubber lines can swell and expanded, over time and under continuous use, exposing the driver to brake fade. The rubber cover is also vulnerable to attacks from the ozone (the rubber deteriorates and causes failure). In extreme applications (auto crossing, racing, hard driving) rubber hoses are more susceptible to flying debris, which increase the chance of failure. Stainless steel hoses give protection from all of these issues.
AD Motorsports' 2002 WRX and 2006 WRX have these on the cars, and they install very easily and improve brake feel, for a firmer brake pedal.
